Detroit, Michigan — A dispute over a reportedly incorrect food order escalated into a violent confrontation at a Detroit restaurant, leaving a worker hospitalized and two sisters facing multiple felony charges.
According to prosecutors, Brianna Long, 29, and Kierianna Long, 26, are accused of attacking a 23-year-old restaurant employee after becoming upset over a mistaken order at a local chicken restaurant on May 30.
The incident has drawn significant attention due to the severity of the allegations and the serious injuries suffered by the employee.
Prosecutors Allege Attack Began Over Food Order Error
Authorities say the confrontation started when the sisters became upset after receiving what they believed was the wrong order. Prosecutors allege that the women entered the restaurant and then went behind the counter, where they confronted the employee.
According to court proceedings, the situation quickly turned physical.
Investigators claim the sisters threw various objects at the worker, including kitchen items, while pursuing her through different areas of the restaurant.
The employee was allegedly struck with pots and pans during the altercation.
Allegations Include Threats and Attempted Use of Hot Grease
Prosecutors further allege that the confrontation intensified as the women threatened the employee and attempted to use dangerous objects against her.
According to reports presented in court, the sisters allegedly tried to throw hot grease onto the worker while continuing the attack. One of the women also allegedly threatened the employee’s life during the incident.
“I’m going to kill you,” one of the sisters allegedly said during the encounter, according to court testimony.
Investigators said the worker attempted to escape as the violence continued inside the restaurant.
Employee Hospitalized After Alleged Stabbing
Authorities allege that Kierianna Long ultimately stabbed the employee in the stomach during the confrontation.
The injured worker reportedly managed to flee the restaurant and seek safety by hiding inside a stranger’s vehicle while calling for help.
Emergency responders transported her to a hospital, where she underwent surgery for her injuries.
Officials have not publicly released an update on her current condition, but prosecutors described the injuries as serious enough to require immediate medical treatment.
Defense Challenges Prosecutors’ Version of Events
During court proceedings, defense attorneys disputed several aspects of the prosecution’s allegations.
According to defense arguments, the restaurant employee may have contributed to the escalation by responding aggressively after the order dispute.
Attorneys claimed the worker said she did not care about the mistake and allegedly threw objects, including knives, before the sisters reacted.
The competing accounts are expected to be examined further as the criminal case moves through the court system.

Sisters Plead Not Guilty

Court records show Brianna Long was ordered held on a $25,000 cash bond, while Kierianna Long was held on a $100,000 cash bond.
Brianna’s attorney also told the court that she had given birth just four days before her arraignment. During the hearing, Brianna reportedly maintained her innocence and asked the court to consider that she had a newborn child at home.
The case remains ongoing, and additional court proceedings are expected as prosecutors and defense attorneys continue to present evidence regarding what happened inside the restaurant that day.
