HOLLYWOOD, Florida — Two South Florida residents who had never met are now connected by the same shocking crime — and the same white van.
Surveillance footage from an apartment complex in Hollywood shows three men pulling up in what appears to be a Comcast van, loading a motorcycle into the back, and driving off in seconds.
The bike belonged to Isabella San Juan. She had owned it for just 12 days.
“I Was Pretty Distraught”
San Juan said she called police immediately after discovering her brand-new Kawasaki Ninja 636 was gone.
“I called the police right away, I was pretty distraught and filed a report,” she said.
The footage clearly shows the van but not the faces of the men inside. San Juan posted the video on social media hoping someone would recognize it — and that decision changed everything.
A Tracker Led Police Straight to the Van
A Miami resident named Aiden saw San Juan’s post and immediately recognized the van. His motorcycle had been stolen from his apartment garage off 71st Street in Miami early Saturday morning.
But Aiden had a GPS tracker on his bike.
“I showed them the tracking for the motorcycle, and it’s very accurate. It led right to that van,” he said.
The van was found at a home on Northeast 124th Street in North Miami. Aiden’s motorcycle was recovered from inside — damaged, but repairable.
“I’m just happy to get it back,” he said.
One Bike Still Missing
San Juan’s Kawasaki has not been recovered. She says the investigation has moved slowly and she still hasn’t been assigned a detective.
“I would like something done about it,” she said.
Hollywood Police confirmed the case is under investigation. Comcast said it is aware of the videos and looking into the matter. No arrests have been announced.
