Temecula, California — A frightening freeway crash in Southern California ended in what authorities are calling “a miracle” after a pregnant woman and her unborn twins survived when a metal bar flew through her vehicle’s windshield and struck her in the stomach.
The terrifying incident happened on July 1 as the woman was traveling northbound on Interstate 15 near Temecula, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).
Officials said the metal bar had fallen from the back of a truck before becoming a dangerous projectile that slammed directly into the front of the woman’s van.

According to CHP, the metal pole crashed through the center of the windshield while the woman was driving at freeway speeds.
