Toledo, Ohio — A pregnant Ohio teenager is facing a long road to recovery after she was shot and left paralyzed during an alleged robbery that began with a planned meetup arranged through Snapchat.
The victim, identified only as Angel, is an 18-year-old high school student who was nearly six months pregnant when the violent incident unfolded on June 7. The shooting not only changed her life forever but also placed her unborn child at serious risk.

According to police, Angel and her boyfriend traveled to a home on Greenway Avenue near the University of Toledo campus to meet someone they had connected with through Snapchat.
When the couple arrived at the location, investigators said a man dressed entirely in black approached their vehicle and allegedly pointed a firearm at the boyfriend while demanding money.
Police reported that the boyfriend attempted to fight back and wrestle the weapon away from the suspect.
