Stone Mountain, Ga. — A white SUV veered off the road and crashed into a tree in a quiet DeKalb County neighborhood early Friday morning, sending multiple patrol units rushing to the scene on Park Gate Place.
According to DeKalb County Police, the vehicle left the roadway in the pre-dawn hours and struck a tree along the residential street. The impact wasn’t isolated to the tree alone — a nearby resident’s parked car was also hit, along with her mailbox and a bush lining her property.
Speaking about the incident, the homeowner said this wasn’t the first time something like this had happened on the block, noting that a similar crash had occurred on the same street once before.
