LA’s Popular Villa’s Tacos Is Opening Its First Las Vegas Location Next Month

One of Los Angeles’ most beloved taquerias is heading to Las Vegas. Villa’s Tacos, the Michelin-recognized spot from Highland Park, will open its first-ever location outside Southern California on August 15 at Durango Casino & Resort.

What to Expect on Opening Day

The new location opens inside the Eat Your Heart Out food hall at 11 a.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by live mariachi music until 3 p.m. The first 100 guests in line will receive a free sampler trio plate along with additional surprises.

Villa’s Tacos will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday.

What’s on the Menu

The Vegas menu will feature the restaurant’s signature blue-corn tortilla tacos, queso tacos and mulitas. Fillings include chicken thighs, skirt steak, pork chorizo, grilled soy chorizo and papas a la plancha. The location will also serve a fried Baja fish taco and a new wood-fired al pastor taco made fresh inside the food hall.

Toppings include guacamole, crema, Cotija cheese, onion and cilantro, with radishes and lime on the side.

From a Grandmother’s Front Yard to the Super Bowl

Owner Victor Villa launched the taqueria in 2018 from his grandmother’s front yard in Highland Park before opening a permanent location in early 2023. The restaurant gained national attention in February when Villa appeared with his taco cart during Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show.

Where to Find It

Villa’s Tacos at Durango Casino & Resort is located at 6915 S. Durango Drive, Las Vegas.
