East Nashville Bar Named One of the Best in the United States

A speakeasy tucked away in East Nashville has earned a spot among the top 38 bars in the entire country. The Fox, located on Gallatin Pike, is being praised as both a neighborhood hideaway and a polished cocktail destination.

Hard to Find, Worth the Search

The bar is intentionally tricky to locate — hidden in a basement, much like the secretive speakeasies of the Prohibition era.

“The first thing you’re going to notice is, we’re tricky to find,” said Brandon Archilla, beverage director. “We’re in a basement, essentially. Very similar to speakeasies of old.”

The intimate space seats around 40 guests, who dine by candlelight in one of Nashville’s most unique settings.

Locally Crafted, Globally Inspired

The Fox features hundreds of bottles of liquor sourced from around the world, alongside an exotic cocktail menu built around a wide variety of flavors. The interior was designed with a strong local touch — Art Deco styling crafted by Nashville-based artisans, with handmade tables and custom metalwork beneath the bar.

Tennessee Getting Noticed Nationally

The Fox was not the only Tennessee bar to make the list. Fly By Night in Knoxville was also recognized, praised for its good vibes and retro 1970s style.

Worth a Visit

Whether you are a Nashville local or just passing through, The Fox offers an experience that is rare — an intimate, candlelit bar that feels like a secret worth keeping.
