Continuing the SnyderVerse on Netflix: A Possibility?

Summing Up,
• Scott Stuber, Netflix’s head of film, has sparked hope for the SnyderVerse with the possibility of licensing Snyder’s DC movies.
• Zack Snyder works on numerous projects with Netflix, including Rebel Moon and Army of Thieves.
• Planet of the Dead is a sequel to Army of the Dead that fans can look forward to.
• While Snyder himself hopes his projects remain original content, there is still hope for the revival of the SnyderVerse on Netflix.

Regarding the DC cinematic universe, fans are divided on whether Zack Snyder’s films should continue. However, a recent interview with Scott Stuber, Netflix’s head of film, has sparked new hope for the SnyderVerse. Stuber hinted at the possibility of licensing Snyder’s DC movies, joining the trend of other DC films on Netflix. In this blog post, we’ll explore the potential of continuing the SnyderVerse on Netflix, what Snyder is currently working on with the platform, and what the future holds for his collaborations with Netflix.

Stuber expressed his excitement about licensing Snyder’s DC movies: “Obviously, we would like to license it at some point. We’d love to have it on so fans can experience more Zack. The more Zack we have, the better we are.” Although licensing proves difficult due to ownership rights, this statement is promising news for fans hoping for more SnyderVerse content.

When it comes to his collaborations with Netflix, Snyder has a plethora of projects in the works. Rebel Moon, a two-part epic, marks Snyder’s return to space films. Set in a universe similar to Star Wars, but with its distinct mythology, Rebel Moon promises to be an exciting adventure for fans of sci-fi action.

Another project fans of Snyder’s Army of the Dead will enjoy is Army of Thieves, a prequel film that follows safe cracker Ludwig Dieter’s origins. Dieter was a fan-favorite character from Army of the Dead, and fans are excited to delve deeper into his backstory.

Finally, Snyder is also working on a sequel to Army of the Dead titled Planet of the Dead. Although details are scarce, fans can expect more gore, action, and heists.

Snyder himself hopes that his projects with Netflix remain original content, stating, “I would hope that anything Snyderverseian is [whatever] we’re doing as original IP. The DC universe is very close to my heart, but where I am right now is with Rebel Moon and Army of the Dead. Hopefully, anything original and cool fits into that category.” This statement leaves hope for more original content from Snyder, but not necessarily for a continuation of the SnyderVerse.

Although the future of the SnyderVerse seems uncertain, Stuber’s comments have brought hope for its revival on Netflix. Snyder’s collaborations with Netflix promise to be exciting ventures into sci-fi and action, and fans can expect more original content from Snyder in the future. Although the SnyderVerse may not return in the way we hope, we can always dream of seeing our favorite characters on the screen once again.
