Who is David W. King?

David W. King a celebrated entertainment journalist and advocate for Michigan’s film industry, has been at the forefront of entertainment journalism for over four decades. From covering the hottest stars for renowned magazines and newspapers to owning a successful PR firm, King has always been immersed in the world of entertainment.

Since 2008, King has shifted his focus to Michigan’s independent film industry. With countless articles profiling talented filmmakers, actors, directors, and more, King sheds light on everything happening in the Mitten State. He boldly states that Michigan’s film scene rivals Hollywood regarding quality and potential.

Driven by his passion to connect with Michigan’s film community on a deeper level, King has become actively involved in the industry. He has taken on roles as an extra and actor, collaborating closely with directors, producers, and the film community. His journey is a testament to his unwavering dedication and commitment.

However, King remains humble. He is not seeking personal fortune or fame. Instead, he believes the future belongs to the young and the young at heart.
