Short film “Four-Ninety” won twice last weekend at the 7th Eclipse Awards in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Directed by Scott Magie, “Four-Ninety” won for “Best Director for a Short Film” and ” Best Short Film.”
Scott Magie, with Flipbook Moving Pictures, is originally from Adams, Massachusetts, studied Motion Picture/Television at Montana State University, and lives is Holt, Michigan. Magie is also known for When Cotton Blossoms (2009, Documentary short) Grey Branches ( 2008, Short) The Only Thing ( 2007, Short).
With the tag-line, “The hardest prison to escape is a hateful heart,” “Four-Ninety” is the story of a pardoned ex-con who reluctantly returns to prison as a visitor because an inmate keeps sending him postcards. It features Jimmy Doom, Heather Fairbanks, Rico Bruce Wade, Harry Artin Berberian and Mike T. Tremblay. Cinematography by Travis Hayward.
