A 16-year-old girl was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash early Sunday morning near La Vernia, Texas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
What Happened
The crash occurred around 4:20 a.m. on U.S. 87 near Chihuahua Street in Wilson County. The teenager was driving north on U.S. 87 toward La Vernia when her vehicle suddenly veered off the roadway for an unknown reason.
The car struck the City of La Vernia sign before rolling over. The teen, who was the only occupant in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.
