Whataburger is officially returning to Orlando. The Texas-based burger chain has announced that its new location at 12305 East Colonial Drive will open to the public on August 6, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week with both dine-in and drive-thru service.
Free Whataburger for a Year — Here’s How to Get It
The grand opening comes with major perks for early arrivals. Doors open at 11 a.m., and the first two people in line — as well as the first two cars in the drive-thru — will receive free Whataburger for an entire year.
The first 80 people in line and first 20 drive-thru cars will also receive exclusive merchandise, while supplies last. Customers waiting in line will get free samples, including the new Summer Peach Whatafresher.
What’s on the Menu
Whataburger is known for its made-to-order burgers, breakfast items, shakes, and desserts. In the coming weeks, customers will also be able to place orders through the Whataburger app and website.
A Return to Central Florida
This is not Whataburger’s first time in the Orlando market. The chain previously had locations across Central Florida, including Winter Park and Melbourne, before pulling out of the region in 2009 due to poor performance.
The new Orlando location marks the fourth Central Florida opening this year, following three Tampa Bay locations that debuted in the spring. Two more locations are also planned for the Fort Myers area this fall.
Founded in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1950, Whataburger now operates more than 1,000 restaurants across 17 states.
