Pennsylvania Woman Arrested After Allegedly Breaking Into Ex-Boyfriend’s Home With Wine and Dessert

FAIRLESS HILLS, Pennsylvania — A Pennsylvania woman is facing multiple criminal charges after police say she broke into the home of a man she briefly dated, allegedly attempting to surprise him with wine and dessert in hopes of rekindling their relationship. The incident also shed light on a series of mysterious events the homeowner said had been occurring inside his house for weeks.

Authorities identified the suspect as Lindsay Harris, 30, who was arrested in late June after officers reportedly caught her climbing through a window of the victim’s home in Fairless Hills, located in Bucks County. Investigators say the man immediately called 911 after realizing someone had entered his residence without permission.

Police Catch Woman Entering Home Through Window

According to the Falls Township Police Department, officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress and arrived to find Harris allegedly crawling through a window of the home.

Police said Harris was carrying a bottle of red wine and Italian water ice, items investigators believe she intended to use for what she considered a romantic surprise.

Instead, the homeowner viewed the incident as an unlawful break-in and contacted emergency services, leading to Harris’ arrest at the scene.

“We get a call for a woman breaking into one of our residents’ homes in Fairless Hills,” Falls Township Police Chief Nelson Whitney told NBC Philadelphia.

“We responded and sure enough, officers see a 30-year-old female crawling through a window, and they take her into custody and then we find out the whole story,” Whitney said.

Brief Relationship Began Earlier This Year

According to police, Harris and the victim first met through the dating app Match and began dating in January.

Authorities said the relationship was short-lived after the man decided he did not want to continue seeing Harris. However, investigators allege Harris struggled to accept the breakup and became increasingly fixated on him.

“The male decided not to continue the relationship, but I guess the female wanted to continue it,” Chief Whitney said while discussing the investigation.

Police have not indicated how long Harris allegedly continued attempting to contact the victim following the end of the relationship.

Homeowner Noticed Strange Changes for Weeks

The homeowner told NBC Philadelphia that the late June incident helped explain a mystery that had been troubling him for several weeks.

According to the victim, he repeatedly noticed personal belongings inside his home had been moved or rearranged, despite living alone.

Items would appear out of place, leading him to suspect someone had somehow entered the residence on multiple occasions before the break-in that resulted in Harris’ arrest.

The man also told the news outlet that he had never provided Harris with his home address, making the alleged incidents even more unsettling from his perspective.

Authorities have not publicly confirmed whether Harris is suspected of entering the residence before the June incident, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Woman Faces Multiple Criminal Charges

Following her arrest, Harris was booked into custody and charged with several offenses.

According to authorities, she faces charges including stalking, criminal trespassing, and harassment.

Court proceedings are expected to determine whether additional evidence supports the allegations made by investigators and the homeowner.

The charges announced by law enforcement represent allegations at this stage of the case. Harris has been formally charged but is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
