Mercer County, PA — Investigators in western Pennsylvania are asking the public for help tracking down a woman accused of walking out of a beauty store with thousands of dollars in stolen perfume, an incident authorities say was captured in full on surveillance footage.
Pennsylvania State Police out of the Mercer Station say they’re searching for 57-year-old Charnise Lamar Dent, who now faces multiple outstanding warrants tied to an alleged theft earlier this year. According to troopers, the incident unfolded on the evening of May 9, 2026, at an Ulta Beauty location inside the Grove City Premium Outlets on Leesburg Grove City Road.
Authorities allege that around 6:05 p.m., Dent took off with roughly $2,618 worth of fragrance products without paying, and that the entire act was recorded on the store’s security cameras. Investigators say the footage played a key role in identifying her as a suspect.
State police confirmed Dent is now wanted on felony charges, including third-offense retail theft and unlawfully removing a security tag from merchandise valued above $1,000 — an offense that escalates the case from a simple shoplifting complaint to a more serious criminal matter.
Troopers describe Dent as standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing approximately 250 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Her last known address was in Pittsburgh, though her current whereabouts remain unknown.
