Motorcyclist Dies in Fiery Crash on N. Sam Houston Parkway Near Fairbanks in Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — According to Harris County Constable’s Office, a rider passed away after getting into a high-speed accident on North Sam Houston Parkway near Fairbanks Road.

Authorities got a call about riders speeding on the freeway at around noon. Their investigation concluded that one of the bikers lost control of his bike and hit a car.

Unfortunately, the crash was so severe that it threw the rider off his bike, which resulted in his death once the officials reached the site of the crash.

Interestingly enough, the motorcycle didn’t just stop there. After hitting the first car, it also hit another vehicle, causing a fire on the freeway. Firefighters hurried to the site and managed to put out the fire without any further injuries.

As of Sunday evening, no information has been released regarding the identity of the victim as the authorities were waiting to inform his family.

The car accident resulted in significant traffic issues in the area. Houston TranStar reported the incident shortly before midday. They initially reported that a single vehicle was involved. Traffic has been blocked on the eastbound lanes on North Sam Houston Parkway, including the left shoulder, while the authorities investigated the scene of the accident.

All lanes were reopened by 3 p.m.

The inquiry into the racing incident is being conducted by Harris County Precinct 4.
