FORDHAM, The Bronx — A man was shot and killed Tuesday evening in the Bronx, according to the New York Police Department (NYPD).
According to police, the shooting occurred at approximately 6:50 p.m. near 2525 Grand Avenue in the Fordham section of the borough. Responding officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, NYPD confirmed. His identity has not yet been released by authorities pending family notification.
Footage circulating on the Citizen app showed a heavy police presence at the scene, with officers cordoning off the area and placing evidence markers along the street and sidewalk as investigators worked to process the scene.
As of Tuesday night, no arrests had been made in connection with the shooting. NYPD said the investigation remains ongoing, and no further details about a possible motive or suspect have been released.
