A man was shot and killed at a Chandler apartment complex in the early hours of Friday morning, and another man has been taken into custody in connection with the deadly incident, police say.
Chandler police responded to the Sky at Chandler Airpark Apartments, near McQueen and Germann roads, just after 4:30 a.m. on July 31. Officers arrived to find a man who had been shot at least once.
Victim Pronounced Dead at the Scene
Despite efforts by emergency crews to save him, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. As of Friday morning, he had not yet been publicly identified by authorities.
Suspect Taken Into Custody
Police say a second man was arrested near the crime scene shortly after officers arrived. The circumstances that led to the shooting remain under investigation, and no further details about a possible motive have been released at this time.
No Threat to Public
Chandler police confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public. No road closures or traffic restrictions were put in place as a result of the incident.
