Key Largo, Florida — A Florida man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say a teenage girl was located at a Key Largo residence following a 911 call in which she reported being held against her will.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a home on Miramar Drive at approximately 11:45 a.m. Sunday after receiving an emergency call from the alleged victim.
Investigators said the teenager was found at the residence and was later evaluated by medical personnel before being released into the care of a family member.

Authorities said the case began when the teenage girl contacted emergency services and reported that she needed help.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the residence and conducted an investigation that led to the discovery of the teen and the arrest of Christopher Michael Veit, 53.
Officials said the victim did not suffer life-threatening injuries. The sheriff’s office has not released the girl’s identity because she is a minor.
Multiple Criminal Charges Filed
Following the investigation, Veit was charged with several offenses, including:

- False imprisonment
- Unlawful sexual activity with a minor
Authorities allege the suspect prevented the teen from leaving the residence and took possession of her cellphone after she expressed a desire to leave.
