A new dessert destination has quietly opened its doors in Delray Beach, and the owners are preparing a week of celebrations that go far beyond free samples.
Nothing Bundt Cakes officially began operations on July 13 at 420 E Linton Blvd., Suite 800, in Palm Beach County. While the bakery has been serving customers for a few weeks already, the real spectacle is set to unfold between August 17 and 22, when the location hosts an extended grand-opening event packed with giveaways, community tie-ins and a cancer-research fundraiser.
Each day of the celebration week carries its own theme. Teachers and school staff get a discount on Monday, healthcare workers on Tuesday, first responders on Wednesday, active and veteran military members on Thursday, and city employees on Friday — all receiving 10% off in-bakery purchases.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Boca Regional Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for 10 a.m. on August 21. But it’s August 22 that could draw the biggest crowds. The first 50 customers that day will walk away with a punch card good for a free Bundtlet every month for an entire year, while the next 300 buyers receive a complimentary Confetti Bundtlet. A portion of that day’s total sales will also go toward cancer research through a local nonprofit chapter supporting a Miami-based cancer center.
The bakery is run locally by two family members who say they picked Delray Beach for its small-town feel and close-knit community atmosphere, hoping to become part of everyday celebrations — from birthdays to Little League wins.
Nothing Bundt Cakes, founded in 1997 and headquartered in Dallas, has grown into one of the largest specialty cake chains in the country, with hundreds of bakeries across more than 40 states. Its cakes are made fresh daily using real eggs, butter and cream cheese.
The Delray Beach location is open daily from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
