DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Investigators in DeKalb County are racing against time to locate a 14-year-old boy who vanished without a trace nearly three days ago, and authorities say they still don’t know where he may have gone.
The DeKalb County Police Department confirmed that Chase, 14, was last seen walking away from the 1400 block of Hyatt Circle at around 10 a.m. on July 24. Since then, family members and investigators say they have had no contact with him, and no clear leads have emerged about where he could be headed.
Police describe Chase as standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 100 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time he disappeared, he was wearing a black hoodie, blue track pants and blue Nike slides, and was carrying a backpack — details investigators hope someone in the community may recognize.
So far, officials have not released any information suggesting where Chase may have gone or what circumstances led to his disappearance, leaving both his family and law enforcement searching for answers.
