A well-known eatery in the Lehigh Valley is preparing to serve its final meals this weekend, marking the end of a chapter for the local community.
Susquehanna Street Diner, situated at 1701 E. Susquehanna St. in Salisbury Township, will shut down permanently at 9 p.m. on Sunday. The restaurant’s owners confirmed the closure through a heartfelt post shared online earlier this week.
In their message, the diner’s team expressed deep appreciation for the support they received over the years, noting that every customer visit, shared meal, and word-of-mouth recommendation played a role in shaping the restaurant’s identity. They described the experience of serving the community as a meaningful privilege and said the relationships and memories built along the way will stay with them long after the doors close. The owners also thanked patrons for trusting and standing behind their vision from the very beginning.
The diner first opened its doors in 2023, taking over a location with a long culinary history in the area. Before becoming Susquehanna Street Diner, the same address had previously been home to several other dining establishments, including Mama Minniti’s, MaGia’s Friendly Italian, Pantry Diner, and Francesco’s Italian Ristorante & Pizzeria.
As the countdown to closing time begins, many locals are expected to stop by one final time to bid farewell to a spot that became a familiar part of their routine.
