Police Search for Masked Suspect Accused of Chasing, Terrorizing Women in Center City

PHILADELPHIA — Police are looking for a man who allegedly wore a doll-style mask during a string of frightening encounters with women in Center City.

According to the Philadelphia Police Department, investigators have connected the suspect to several separate incidents involving different women in the area.

Images released by police show the suspect wearing the doll mask, and surveillance footage made public this week captures him allegedly chasing a woman who was jogging near City Hall at around 5:30 a.m. last Wednesday.

Police say the woman called out for help as the man pursued her. She reportedly fell and was injured during the chase before the suspect broke off and entered a nearby commuter rail station.

Authorities describe the suspect as a Black male believed to be between 16 and 20 years old. He is wanted on charges that include terroristic threats and harassment, police said. As of Tuesday morning, he had not been located.

The Philadelphia Police Department is asking anyone with information about the suspect or the incidents to come forward.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Philadelphia police.
