Seneca, South Carolina — Target has unveiled new details about its highly anticipated Seneca location, giving shoppers a clearer picture of what to expect when the new store opens later this month.
The retailer says the new location will bring more than 150 jobs, expanded grocery options, and several popular in-store services to Oconee County, while also serving students attending nearby Clemson University.
The opening is part of Target’s nationwide expansion strategy that includes dozens of new stores across the United States.
Target Confirms July Opening Date

The store will span approximately 129,000 square feet, offering a full range of products including household essentials, apparel, electronics, home goods, beauty products, and groceries.
Because of its location near Clemson University, company officials expect the store to become a popular destination for students shopping for dorm supplies, school essentials, and everyday necessities during the back-to-college season.
The new location is also expected to provide a significant economic boost by creating more than 150 employment opportunities.

The Seneca location will include:
- Apple at Target shop
- CVS Pharmacy

Customers will also have access to several convenient shopping options, including:
- Drive Up
- Order Pickup
- Same-day delivery through Target Circle 360
Target also says the store will feature an expanded grocery department with a wider selection of fresh food, including:
