Goodyear, Arizona — Buc-ee’s is continuing its rapid expansion across the United States, announcing plans to open 15 additional travel centers by 2031 as the popular roadside chain brings its signature oversized stores to more states.
The announcement comes just days after Buc-ee’s celebrated the opening of its first Arizona location, marking another milestone for the Texas-based company that has grown from a single convenience store into one of the country’s most recognizable travel destinations.
Known for its massive stores, clean restrooms, and extensive food selection, Buc-ee’s continues attracting loyal fans as it expands beyond its traditional Texas roots.

These stores will continue Buc-ee’s strategy of expanding along major travel corridors where motorists can stop for fuel, meals, and shopping.
The company has not yet released street addresses for several future locations but confirmed that additional projects remain in development.

Arizona Welcomes Its First Buc-ee’s
The newest Buc-ee’s location officially opened this week in Goodyear, Arizona, becoming the company’s first travel center in the state.
Located at 1001 N. Bullard Avenue, the facility spans approximately 74,000 square feet and features 120 fuel pumps, making it the largest Buc-ee’s location in the western United States.
Company officials believe the location is ideally positioned to serve travelers heading between the Phoenix metropolitan area and California.
“We could not have picked a better location for our first store in the Grand Canyon State,” said Stan Beard of Buc-ee’s.
The Goodyear location offers many of the chain’s best-known items, including Texas-style barbecue, homemade fudge, Beaver Nuggets, jerky, kolaches, fresh pastries, and other prepared foods.
Like most Buc-ee’s locations, it operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Buc-ee’s Continues Building a Loyal Following
Since opening its first location in 1982, Buc-ee’s has developed a devoted customer base by transforming the traditional roadside gas station into a destination for travelers.
Most locations range from 50,000 to 74,000 square feet, combining large convenience stores with gift shops, fresh food counters, and expansive fueling areas.
The company’s mascot, Buc-ee the smiling beaver, has also become a recognizable symbol for road trip enthusiasts who frequently stop to shop, eat, and take photos during their travels.
Following the opening of its Arizona location, Buc-ee’s now operates 56 stores across multiple states, including Texas, Alabama, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina, Tennessee, Missouri, Colorado, Mississippi, Virginia, Georgia, Ohio, and Arizona.
With another 15 stores on the way, Buc-ee’s expansion shows no signs of slowing as it continues bringing its unique roadside experience to even more travelers across the country.
