Frank Adkinson Jr. (known for his roles in “Smile” and “My Online Valentine”) and Candice Vernon (with credits in Warner Media/HBO, Hulu productions) are thrilled to present their latest project, a genre-defying comedy titled 117 Years of Movie Bullsht*.

Crafted by Adkinson Jr. and Vernon—with Vernon also at the helm as director—this avant-garde indie film takes audiences on a riveting chronicle through time, showcasing the trials and triumphs of two ambitious actors up against the backdrop of Hollywood’s controversial history.

Joining the ensemble cast alongside Adkinson Jr. is the film’s executive producer, Blue Kimble (seen in “P-Valley” and “Ruthless”), Jesse C. Boyd (known from “The Walking Dead” and Netflix’s “Outer Banks”), and Karen Obilom (featured in “Doom Patrol” and HBO’s “Insecure”). 117 Years of Movie Bullsht* represents the inaugural venture of Viral Productions LLC, encapsulating over two years of dedicated creativity spurred by the founders’ desire to carve out new spaces within an often exclusive industry.

The narrative unfolds as two fledgling stars from Hollywood are whisked to the era of Gone With the Wind by the villainous Dick Whitman, a traditionalist film executive. Striving to return to their time, they find themselves ensnared in historical cinematic roles, confronting the archaic and often disturbing treatment of Black characters across decades of filmmaking.
