“Generational Fatherhood” emerges from the personal trials and triumphs of Clay Roberts, a Grand Rapids native, father to five, and an advocate for fair parental rights. Stemming from his own challenging experiences and the wisdom gained from his book “Super Dad,” Roberts has crafted a documentary that portrays the real, untold stories of 11 fathers. Each narrative explores the diverse and complex journeys of parenthood, shedding light on a topic that touches the heart of our community.

The death of Robert’s father at a young age, followed by his entry into fatherhood, deeply influenced his approach to parenting and his mission to challenge misconceptions about Black fatherhood. “Generational Fatherhood” is a testament to the resilience, love, and commitment of fathers who strive every day to provide and care for their children, against all odds.

The premiere will not only offer guests a first look at this impactful documentary but will also host a red-carpet event starting at 6 p.m., adding a touch of glamour to the evening.
