Birmingham’s food lovers have something to look forward to this summer. Birmingham Restaurant Week (BRW) kicks off July 30 and runs through August 8, 2026, bringing together dozens of locally owned restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and food trucks for ten days of special menus across the city.
Now marking its 16th year, the event has grown into one of Birmingham’s most anticipated culinary traditions since it first launched back in 2010. Participating spots will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner deals priced between $5 and $60, making it easy for diners on any budget to try something new — or revisit an old favorite.
According to organizers, the event is about more than just food. It’s designed to support local restaurants during the slower summer months while also giving back to the community. Over the past 14 years, Birmingham Restaurant Week has contributed more than $100,000 to local nonprofits, including Magic City Harvest, an organization that rescues food to help families facing food insecurity.
This year’s lineup includes both longtime favorites and newer additions to the city’s dining scene, some of which opened only within the last year. Diners can expect multi-course menus created specifically for the event, offering a chance to experience Birmingham’s growing culinary reputation at a fraction of the usual price.
The celebration doesn’t stop at dinner tables. A preview party is set for the evening before the event begins, giving attendees an early taste of what’s to come alongside drinks and appetizers. Later in the week, a separate Sunday brunch-style tasting event will feature food and beverage pairings from local vendors. Organizers have also added a photography exhibit spotlighting the people behind the city’s restaurants, along with a kitchen-themed giveaway running throughout the week.
With dozens of restaurants involved and prices designed to fit nearly any budget, Birmingham Restaurant Week 2026 offers residents plenty of reasons to get out and explore the city’s food scene this August.
