Directed by Wes Ball and featuring a stellar cast, this upcoming American science fiction action film will leave audiences on the edge of their seats.

In a post-apocalyptic world, generations after the events of War for the Planet of the Apes, ape clans have risen while humans have regressed into a feral state. When the powerful ape leader Proximus Caesar seeks to enslave other clans in search of hidden human technology, a young ape named Noa and a brave mortal woman named Mae embark on an extraordinary journey to find freedom.

Starring Owen Teague as Noa and Freya Allan as Mae, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes promises thrilling action and thought-provoking themes. Macy, this film delivers an unforgettable cinematic experience.

Development of Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes began in April 2019, after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox. Director Wes Ball joined the project later that year, and despite the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, the script was completed, and casting commenced in 2022.

Principal photography occurred at Disney Studios Australia in Sydney, starting in October 2022 under the working title Forbidden Zone. The Australian government supported her, and principal photography wrapped up on February 15, 2023.

In March 2022, 20th Century Studios president Steve Asbell confirmed that production on the film would start by the end of the year.

By June, Oddball Entertainment and Shinbone Productions joined as production partners, and the search for the main star began. In September 2022, the film’s title was revealed as Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, taking place years after the events of War. The writing team expanded, with Jason Reed and Jenno Topping announced as producers.

The casting news started rolling in! Owen Teague snagged the lead motion-capture role in August 2022, followed by Freya Allan, Peter Macon, Eka Darville, and Kevin Durand in the following months. More talented actors joined the cast, including Travis Jeffery, Neil Sandilands, Sara Wiseman, Lydia Peckham, Ras-Samuel Weld A’abzgi, William H. Macy, and Dichen Lachman.
