Are the Original Avengers Coming Back to the MCU?
The original Avengers might be making a comeback! Talks are underway to bring back Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow for a new film. While they were killed off in Avengers: Endgame, it’s likely that we’ll meet their Multiversal variants in Avengers: Secret Wars. This means the same actors would still play them. Prepare for a Battleworld of mashed-up realities and timelines, where even dead characters can return. This could be the victory lap film that fans have been waiting for, and it’s sure to be a blockbuster.
Is Doctor Doom Replacing Kang as the Multiverse Saga’s Main Villain?
There’s a problem with Kang the Conqueror being the main villain of the Multiverse Saga. Actor Jonathan Majors, who plays Kang, faces personal and legal troubles. As a backup plan, Marvel Studios is considering pivoting to another iconic villain: Doctor Doom. With his status as one of Marvel’s greatest villains, Doctor Doom would be a formidable replacement. In the comics, he has a history of stealing power and taking on a god-like role. So, it’s possible that he could take on Kang’s role and power in the story. The saga could become The Doom Dynasty instead of The Kang Dynasty.
What’s Going on with Blade in the MCU?
The MCU’s version of Blade has faced challenges since its announcement in 2019. Now, with multiple changes in writers and directors, the project is being rebooted with a fresh start. Marvel Studios is aiming for a 2025 release date and may have reduced the budget to focus on maintaining the gritty, R-rated nature of the character. Blade is a horror-action franchise, and trying to sanitize it for a younger audience would go against its essence. The studio may draw inspiration from the successful Wesley Snipes films while giving the saga a modern twist. Despite the hurdles, Kevin Feige is determined to make Blade a success and won’t let it fall apart.
The X-Men Taking Center Stage in the MCU
Don’t forget about the X-Men! Kevin Feige’s trump card in the MCU is acquiring the X-Men characters from Fox. While it’s rumored that they’ll appear in Deadpool 3 and possibly other projects, there’s a strong possibility that the X-Men will be the focus of the MCU once the Multiverse Saga is over. Fans can look forward to seeing their favorite mutant heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
