Bill Maher Changes Course, Postpones Return of ‘Real Time’ Amidst WGA Strike Negotiations
Bill Maher has reversed his decision to return to his late-night show, Real-Time, amidst the ongoing Writer’s Guild of America strike. In a tweet on Monday, Maher explained that he would delay production since both parties are back at the bargaining table.
Initially, Maher had planned to resume his show when it appeared that no progress was being made in resolving the strike. However, with the recent agreement to return to negotiations, he has opted to postpone the return of Real-Time, hoping a resolution can finally be reached.
This reversal means Maher will not be the first late-night host to defy the WGA strike, which began in May.
