Michigan provides the backdrop for some of your favorite holiday movies, from festive romantic comedies to small-town stories.

Last weekend’s “Christmas at the Holly Hotel” was filmed in – you guessed it! –the beautiful city of Holly follows a woman who comes home from New York City during Christmas and finds romance along the way.

You can even spot real-life Police Chief Jerry Narsh playing himself in “Cupid’s Christmas.” This movie is filled with wintry cheer, and its plot mirrors what happened when residents banded together to save their beloved train depot!

Two Christmas classics were filmed in the town of Brighton – “Miracle on Christmas” and “A Christmas Winter Song.”

In ‘Miracle on Christmas,” a family must confront their differences to find true meaning during the holiday season. Ashtiani’s character in”  ‘Winter Song” assists an estranged musician in reuniting with his loved ones.

Both offer heartwarming stories about coming together for this joyous time of year!

Michigan has been the backdrop for many Christmas classics! From “The Christmas Bunny,” filmed in Wyoming, Michigan, to “Prancer,” shot in Three Oaks, and culminating in “A Dog for Christmas,” filmed around Rockford – it’s like a holiday movie marathon here all year round.
