The wonderful world of cartoon animation once again fills the movie screen at the Redford Theatre at the Annual Classic Cartoon Celebration on Saturday, November 19, at 2 PM.

And once again, the show will be hosted by Steve Stanchfield, Animation Director at Thunderbean Studios, who teaches at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. His introductions to each cartoon are filled with insights that help you appreciate each comic’s artistry and entertainment value.  Redford Theatre volunteer John Monaghan will ably assist Steve.

This year’s cartoons include various characters from different studios, including Bugs Bunny, Popeye, Tom and Jerry, Droopy, and Felix the Cat. Two silent cartoons will be screened, with live organ accompaniment by John Lauter.
