Rising star Fivel Stewart (Hansel & Gretel; Atypical) has joined the thriller/horror film Wake in a leading role. Stewart will play Lake Reed, a struggling actress who’s desperate for the lead in a Hollywood remake and tracks down the famous star of the original film who’s now a mysterious recluse. Strange occurrences quickly turn the meeting into a nightmare.
Written by Elizabeth H. Vu (The Perception) and directed by Austin Stewart and Thomas Arzmendi, “Wake” wrapped production in the Detroit/Pontiac area in late August. Joining Stewart in leading roles are Sarab Kamoo (Trust; Stone) as Tabitha Button, a caregiver with a suspicious past, and Susan Reno (The Glimmer Man), as Corrin Abel, the star of the original film who now lives a strange, secluded life.
