Calling all film supporters! Watch a recap of the Metro Detroit Town Hall Gathering, organized to advocate for the passage of a Michigan film incentive, in the video below.

It was on April 21 at the Studio Center, 23689 Industrial Park Dr., Farmington Hills, MI 48335., the Michigan Film Industry Association hosted a Detroit Town Hall Meeting.

The scheduled meeting ran from  6 PM – 8 PM. This event started with a social hour from 6 to 7 PM, and the program began at 7 PM.

This was a public meeting event by the Michigan Film Industry Association and Diane Stratton, of Stratton Camera, and open to the public.  Anyone both on or off Facebook was welcome to attend.

The film community, legislators, and small business owners gathered for this informational event to support the passage of a new Michigan film incentive.

All small business owners who benefitted from supporting films in the past were encouraged to attend.  to show legislators the broad support the film industry provides for all kinds of businesses like hotels and travel, restaurants and caterers, lumber yards and hardware stores, florists and bakers, etc.

An estimated 300 people were in attendance.
