The Flint Repertory Theatre presents in celebration of Judy Garland’s 100 Birthday Party the reimagined landmark musical the Fantasticks. This presentation is scheduled from June 3-19, 2022.
Following Friday night’s performance, some of Flint Rep’s favorite performers will be doing a live tribute to Judy Garland? Come join us in the lobby for the party after the show for a night of music, dessert, and drinks! Free for June 10, 2022 ticket holders!
Flint Rep reinvents the classic musical. With a fresh new rewrite by book writer and lyricist Tom Jones, in collaboration with director Michael Lluberes, the young lovers at the center of the story are re-imagined as two young men. The Fantasticks is a funny and beautiful allegory about falling in love and growing up. We couldn’t be more excited to share this new interpretation of the longest-running musical in history.
Flint Repertory Theatre presents The Fantasticks book and lyrics by Tom Jones, with music by Harvey Schmidt, this production is directed by Michael Lluberes, with choreography by Brad Willcuts, and musical direction by Brian E. Buckner. The Fantasticks stars Jason Briggs, Ben Cherry, Janet Haley, Diane Hill, Neil McCaffrey, Richard Payton, Jeremiah Porter, Catherine Shaffner.
