Community saddened by the passing of Michigan Film Director, Producer, Writer, Actor, Model Marguerite Bonner

According to a Facebook post:

It is with great sadness that I share this news. Marguerite Bonner, (A Michigan Film Director, Producer, Writer, Actor, Model) and dear friend, passed away on June 4, 2022, in her sleep.

She will be remembered for her love for her family, friends, and Detroit, and her ambition to finish the film myself and others were cast in: “Detroit 8: Ballers in the Motor City.” Sadly, she passed before finishing it.

She had a special way of encouraging actors to follow their dreams and never give up! She cared for others before herself. She struggled with funding her film, but never gave up. She never judged people, always seeing the best in everyone.

She will be remembered now for being our “Angel friend” who will be missed dearly. Heaven got another angel! R.I.P. Marguerite! Her family has a go fund me page set up.
