A special message from Justin Mane, Executive Producer and “Dean” in CROW…
Making “CROW” has been an amazing experience. From the early concepts of the story beats and script; to the pre-production meetings and acquiring of talent; to the actual production process; and now to the post-production assembly… This film has been its own little beast.
I and the cast/crew consider this entire experience in one word: “magic.” Everything felt like it was right – like we were all in the right place, at the right time, with the right people. It’s hard to compare other film experiences I’ve had to this one – everything just flowed and came together, almost weirdly enough, like it was supposed to. Every time I think and see parts of this film, it gives me a happy, warm feeling about just having made it.
The post-production of this film has been amazing. The confirmation that all of our hard work came together, and spectacularly, was such a nice feeling to have. But… We’ve made several discoveries in this process, which entailed us to make the decision to push back the film release a few months to really incorporate and fine-tune these discoveries.
While we know there is A LOT of anticipation in this film (and some pessimism), we’ve taken our time to work on this film to make sure that it will be the absolute BEST version of itself when we make it available to view. You only get one chance for a first impression, right?
We’ve officially made the decision to turn “CROW” into a full-length feature film. Why? The story we want to tell in the film is better told in a feature-film format via adding length to the runtime, and if we do any less, it will short-change the impact we want to leave with the film. We also shot A TON of footage that help explain this story in detail, and we wanted to include most of it into the film we’re putting together.
I can’t tell you how excited we’re feeling about this film – we’re VERY confident we have something special on our hands with this movie.
We’re putting all of this work into the film to really, truly make this film stand out… Not only for the general audience but especially for fans of “The Crow” movies and comics. This franchise and fanbase deserve it.
Thank you guys for all of your support! We can’t wait for you guys to see what we have cooking.
With love,
Justin Mane
