“Mankind has been staring at the lights in the sky for millennia. Trying to make sense of things beyond our capacity to know. Things spiritual that cannot be defined in the mind. They only have meaning . . . in the heart.” – Hannah Sweet

LANSING, Mich. – Aug. 4, 2020 – PRLog — For Nashville superstar singer Hannah Sweet (Melissa Anschutz, in a nuanced, stunning performance), the downward spiral into alcoholism and indifference toward life is nearly complete.

Then comes the phone call from ‘home,’ a small coastal town in northwest Michigan, along the big lake, that she fled 30 years earlier to follow her dream. And escape an abusive father.

When Lansing (Mich.) based Collective Development Incorporated’s highly anticipated dramedy ‘Lost Heart’ releases this fall, audiences will be treated to a unique cinematic experience. A film that crosses several genres as it takes us on an intended sojourn home with the conflicted Hannah as she confronts her painful past.

A Bridgestone Multimedia Group (BMG) release, written by DJ Perry (‘Man’s Best Friend’) and directed by Jesse Low (‘Wild Faith’), ‘Lost Heart’ is a 98-minute journey thru the gamut of emotions, provided by an eclectic ensemble of quirky, eccentric, loveable characters.

Accentuated by spectacular, picture-postcard worthy vistas of the waters and woods of west and northwest Michigan (filmed in N. Muskegon and up the coast thru Whitehall, Montague, Rothbury and Shelby), CDI’s latest release (Jesse Aragon Director of Photography and Jackson Swan, drone videography) emotes tears, laughter, sadness, and joy, while presented in a manner exploring issues of today.

And when Bigfoot, UFOs, a Devil’s Crossroad and an unconventional old school wake and funeral are tossed into the mix, anything can happen.

“I dedicated this movie to my deceased ‘Uncle Jerry Jones’ a natural storyteller who always delighted us with his strange and humorous stories of all things strange and mysterious.” – DJ Perry, screenwriter

Also headlining a stellar cast are Don Most (‘Happy Days’) as the town’s quirky, albeit pragmatic minister, Milo; Victoria Jackson (SNL), whose turn as Hanna’s mother, ‘Alma,’ the former hippie folk singer and mental patient, is memorable; Taylor Dupuis as ‘Elsie,’ whose dreams mirror those of her cousin, Hannah; and, Josh ‘Ponceman’ Perry (‘The Christ Slayer’), one of Hollywood’s most talented actors with Down Syndrome, plays ‘Chip,’ Hannah’s adopted brother who often seems to be the most balanced character in the story.
