The Michigan-based company behind The Quest Trilogy, the mid-western Wild Faith, and the veterans/adoption dog film MBF: Man’s Best Friend gears up to film again in May 2020.
Michigan-based Collective Development (www.cdiproductions.com ) has been gathering worldwide recognition for its work in feature film. Biblical adventures such as ‘The Quest Trilogy”(“Forty Nights”, “Chasing the Star”, “The Christ Slayer‘), mid-westerns like “Wild Faith“ or the newly released military/drama “MBF: Man’s Best Friend,” have brought a slew of nominations and wins.
All these scripts penned and produced under DJ Perry’s production supervision, highlight the artistic quality that can be achieved inside a strict business model. Summer 2020 will see the release of the musical-edged dramedy “Lost Heart,” also penned by Perry and starring Melissa Anschutz, Victoria Jackson and Don Most.
Curwood Publishing from Owosso, Michigan, retained Mr. Perry to adopt one of their upcoming releases ‘Hope for Heaven‘ for the screen. The film will be titled ‘Best Years Gone’ and gives a powerful look at how imperfect people in search of love and redemption, navigate the trials and tribulations of life often hindered by fear.
“I had an immediate draw to one of the characters in the book. It all caught fire from there. But I had a good story within the book with lots of interesting characters to explore.” – DJ Perry
DJ Perry’s imaginative weavings are hailed for his creation of truly quirky and memorable characters blended into unique world settings. He’s also been hired to supervise in bringing the story/script to the screen as a full-length motion picture. ‘Best Years Gone’ will shoot in May 2020 around Northern Michigan. A director will be announced in the coming weeks.
