Development of the Royal Flush Films/S33 Productions of the Kevin Tates directed film, “Famous” is progressing smoothly. Presently in post, it is being tweaked to make it stronger through editing.
Said Shad Moore in a communique exchange this week, “We’re working on the poster now and the final touches on edit should be complete in a couple of weeks.”
A tight story, made even tighter by a combined effort to create a movie that people will like and want to share with others, “Famous” tells the story of the relationship between two best friends which is tested when an opportunity to become rich and famous presents itself.
Written and directed by Tates, known for his role as Re Re in the movie Rec Man (2018), Shawn in Untamed Tongue (2017), Peterson in Black Petunia (2016). and Hector in Heavy Hustle (2016), will star as Kevin, and Mushad “Shad” Moore, an actor and producer, known as Geral in First Lady (2018), Mike in The Birthday (2018) and sam in Scapegoat (2018), as Li’l Dave.
“Famous” also stars Richard “Dickie” Mason, known for his work on Weight (2017), Rec Man (2018) and Once Upon a Time in Detroit (2017), as Pops, , Ashei “The Guerrilla King” Khan, known for Hood Chicks the Movie: Loyalty is Everything as Ashei Khan, and Dominique Alexander, known for TV One’s Fatal Attraction, Black Petunia (2016), and Weight (2017), will appear as Detective 1, among other cast members.
Last week the trailer for “Famous” dropped. It is now on Facebook.
Said Moore, “Youtube wouldn’t allow us to upload it since it has copyrighted music.” The music you hear as the soundtrack of this trailer of Kevin Tates”Famous” is Li’l Wayne’s “Famous” featuring Reginae Carter from Li’l wayne latest album “Tha Carter 5”
“Famous” is due to be released May of 2019.
