Jared Kuzich has just announced his chosen cast for Severe Storm Studios production of “Trials & Triumphs.” As well as appearing as an actor in this project, Kuzich plays the part of Steven Jerrett. He is also the writer, director, producer, and casting director of this production.
“Trials & Triumphs” is a buddy flick about two life long best friends, Jesse and Steven. Going through trials and triumphs of family, addiction, pious people, and more, they go on to carve careers for themselves in the music industry. Jesse is the rock-star who lives the rock-star lifestyle (drugs, sex, rock and roll); Steven is his manager, the one with his head on straight that typically has to pull Jesse back from the edge and keeps Jesse on the right path and out of trouble. They’ve always been all that they have. As best friends, they basically only trust one another, they tell each other everything.

Jared Kuzich will star as Steven in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.” Kuzich had a small part in the Hollywood blockbuster “The House,” starring Will Ferrell. He has also worked with independent filmmakers, Delorian Davis-Jones, for films such as”Fictive Kinship” and Iniko entertainment and Coke Horner’s production of “Micah and Jane.” and Jared has been involved in a couple of promo videos for “Carhartt” and Comedy Central’s own “Detroiters”
Cara Cooke will appear as Britney Michelle in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.”
Brian Heintz will appear as Jesse Brown in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.” Heintz is an actor and producer, known for Wolf Hound (2019), Revenge of the Mask (2018) and Ring of Silence (2019).
Melissa Frith will appear as Vanessa Cole in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.”
Daniel Jeffries will appear as Brycen Shane in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.” Jeffries is known for his work on Abstruse (2019), Wolf Hound (2019) and Made Vicious (2018).
Michael James Alexander will appear as Michael Jarrett in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.” Alexander is an actor, known for Love Espionage: Spy Revenge (2018) and Song for Sarah (2018)..
Katie Kresmer will appear as Riley Cavanaugh in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.”Kresek is known for her work on Contemporary Color (2016), Adele Live in New York City (2015) and Independent Lens (1999). .
Jenna Bolton will appear as young Vanessa Cole in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.” .Bolton is an actress, known for A Summer to Remember, Papers Xii: Paper Trail Pt 2. (2018) and Papers XI (2018).
Garrett Thierry has booked the role of Dr Aaron in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.” .Thierry is an actor, known for Betrayed (2018), Deceitful (2016) and Wronged (2019).
Dominique Alexander will appear in the role of Boomer in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.” .Alexander got his start as an extra in the movie Hostel 3. He can be seen in TV ONE’S Fatal Attraction as Det Randy Brown and the movie Black Petunia as Officer Roberts. Also on the web series Something Shady as Kurt and Black Jesus the web series as Elder James.
Tim Smith has booked the role of Paramedic 1 in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.”.
Tia Williams will appear in the role of Paramedic 2 in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.”..
Julius Kline has been cast as the dispatcher. Kline is relatively new to acting. According to his IMDB page, he has only every appeared in one short– Iridium (2018). Keep your eye on him. You will be seeing much more of him.
Jennifer Andrews has booked the role of Nurse in the Severe Storm Studios production of “Trial & Triumphs.”.
James Pilachowski has booked the role of Lyft Driver. Pilachowski is an actor, known for Strain 100 (2019), The King’s Messengers (2017) and Dark Over Me.
As you can tell from the cast descriptions,, “Trials and Triumphs” is more than about Stephen and Jessie, but they are obviously the two main characters around which the majority of this revolves. There are other characters who play prominently in this series.
For example, Steven’s triumphs comes with his current to ex-girlfriend Vanessa Cole, who’s a drug addict. Steven and Vanessa have known each other since they were kids, 14 years of age. They’ve been in an off- and-on relationship their entire life. Vanessa has used and hurt Steven more times than he can count.
Then there’s Riley who we discover performs in a coffee shop. She goes from being a young talented singer-songwriter to basically living the rock-star lifestyle. With Jesse and Steven she goes from 0 to 100 really quickly. Many have.
Michael Jarrett, who’s played by Mike Alexander, plays Steven’s father, who because Steven’s mom passes away and Michael blames his son, has created a rocky relationship because of resulting family issues. Michael and Steven have spent years not talking and they’re now to the point where they’re trying to patch up their relationship before it’s too late.
Then there is Brittany Michelle played by Cara Cooke. Brittany is an old flame from the past that Steven always confided in. It never blossomed into a relationship, but it was always hoped that it would. As they grow into adults, and on their own way, life brings him back together.
This is the general gist of a story which is encapsulated in a mini-series. This is the Jared Kuzich production, “Trial and Triumphs.”
