Although almost twenty years have passed since the release of “The Lion King,”  1994,  you cannot forget the inimitable basso profondo that gave voice to Mufasa in the animated original.

Well, James Earl Jones returns to the role in this live-action, CGI-enhanced version from director Jon Favreau (“Iron Man,” “The Jungle Book”).

Disney dropped this trailer on Thanksgiving evening. From its opening seconds you hear that voice.

Listen to him narrate this teaser trailer as noone else can.

But the trailer also plays up the star- studded of superstars: Beyoncé is presented as Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. She gives voice to Nala.

Top-billed is Emmy winner Donald Glover (“Atlanta”), who voices Simba.

The trailer also heralds Seth Rogen (who is Pumbaa), Chiwetel Ejiofor (Scar), Billy Eichner (Timon), Keegan-Michael Key (Kamari) and John Oliver (Zazu).

The cast also features Alfre Woodard, Eric André, Florence Kasumba and John Kani.

The release date is July 19.
