Screenings of the documentary, “Detroit: Comeback City,” have been announced for inside Michigan Central Station, the building that inspired it, for today, November 2.   These screenings will be brought to you by Ford and Freep Film Festival.

Narrated by Oscar-winning metro Detroit native J.K. Simmons, this narrative offers a broad look at the rise and fall and rise of Detroit over the century.

The 45-minute special, which aired earlier this summer on the History Channel, includes an impressive array of achievers with Motor City ties.

“It deals with the good and the bad, Detroit in its heyday, and does not pull any punches,” said Steve Gillon, the History Channel’s historian-in residence. “It also has an authentic voice, not just a bunch of historians and professors, it’s people who are in the community.”

There will be two screenings: the first at 5:15 p.m. and the second at 7:30 p.m.
