Upon the wrapping of his latest film, “Abeyance,” director and producer Harley and his wife and business partner Kaiti Wallen are jetting off to Sweden for a much-deserved vacation. They will be there for a planned three weeks.
Harley (A/K/A Mikael ) Wallen was born in Malmo, the capital and largest city of the Swedish county of Scania. Malmo is a gamma world city (as listed by the GaWC), the third-largest city in Sweden, after Stockholm and Gothenburg, and the sixth-largest city in Scandinavia, with a population of above 300,000. A coastal city in southern Sweden, Malmo lies at the eastern end of the striking Öresund Bridge, a long road and railway bridge–tunnel running to Copenhagen, Denmark. Malmo contains many historic buildings and parks, and is also a commercial center for the western part of Scania.
The Wallens, accompanied by their oldest daughter, Madison, plan on traveling from Detroit Metro Airport (DTW) to Frankfurt, Germany, and from Frankfort, they will fly into Copenhagen, Denmark. Here Harley plans to “immediately (take) a well-deserved nap.”
Harley started his journey as a martial artist at the tender age of seven studying judo. He would eventually work his way up to fifth-degree black belt studying and attaining a black belt in both Jiu-Jitsu and Tae Kwon – Do and ultimately becoming a world-class MMA fighter.
With an early interest in breakdancing, as well, his sheer talent and skill are what landed Harley his first opportunity in acting as a dancer at the syndicated Swedish TV cult hit ‘Solstollarna’. Bitten by the acting bug, Harley moved eventually from Sweden to the United States to pursue his dreams.
Harley has experienced success in not only the MMA as a world-class fighter, he has attained success in business and most recently film. In 2016 Harley and his wife Kaiti formed the film production company ‘Painted Creek Productions’.
