TV’s funny man, Key & Peele’s Keegan Michael Key is dispensing with the funny and gets serious as he co-stars in the upcoming ‘Predator’ film.
Today, the official trailer of the “The Predator” movie was dropped featuring its ensemble cast in which Key becomes a member of a group of dead serious alien hunters.
In the new trailer, with a gun in his hand Key hopes to help save the human race from the return of Predators.
In this sequel, director Shane Black decides not to reboot this franchise. “Why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?” asked Black.
Undergoing a hybridization, we are introduced to the “Ultimate Predator.” And this one is so mean he is kicking ass and taking names. It becomes obvious, that this Predator can eat the normal Predator’s lunch and kick sand in his face.
According to this extremely cool poster for “The Predator,” this sequel also promises more Predator-on-Predator violence, as was seen in “Predators.”
The synopsis of this movie is as follows, ” From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species.
“When a young boy [Tremblay] accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher [Munn] can prevent the end of the human race.”
The Predator opens September 13, 2018.
