Cast for ‘Faith Under Fire’ announced–with one last minute addition

“After over four hundred auditions, the cast for Joel Reisig’s “Faith Under Fire”  has been announced. Casting took place in Northville on Saturday, March 24.

Produced by Melissa Kerley and Joel Paul Reisig. “Faith  Under Fire” is the story of a fireman who has his faith tested when he loses his family to cancer.

Dean Cain   is playing the film’s main supporting role.  And as of March 28,  Stacey Dash has been added to the cast in the role of Dr. Robinson.

Dean Cain, known for his role as Superman/Clark Kent in the series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (1993), is originally from the Mt. Clemens area,  although he would go on to grow up in Malibu.   Stacy Dash,  originally from Bronx, New York, made regular appearances on The Cosby Show (1984), The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990), and also St. Elsewhere (1982).  She made her feature film debut in Enemy Territory (1987), which was quickly followed by Moving (1988), in which she played Richard Pryor‘s teenage daughter.

According to Reisig, “Again, a sincere thank you to everyone who came to auditions or sent in their audition. We had four hundred auditions and many of them were quite good. As an actor myself I know how tough it is and I’m sorry that I’m not able to cast more of you.”
