Today is Dr. Kendrick Kang-Joh “Ken” Jeong’s birthday. Born in Detroit, Michigan, to South Korean immigrant parents, Ken Jeong was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Jeong graduated from High School at 16 and his achievements earned him Greensboro’s Youth of the Year award. Jeong graduated from Duke University in 1990 and obtained his M.D. at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine in 1995.
Best known for his roles as Ben Chang on the critically acclaimed NBC/Yahoo! sitcom Community and gangster Leslie Chow in The Hangover Trilogy, he was the lead in the ABC sitcom Dr. Ken, in which he was also the creator, writer and executive producer.
