American actor and stunt performer Martin Klebba was born on this day, June 23, 1969 in Troy, Michigan.  He graduated from Troy Athens High School in 1987.

Known best for his part as “Marty” in the Pirates of the Caribbean series,  one of Captain Jack Sparrow’s Black Pearl crew, he has appeared in films one through three, and five.

In 2003, he played the ring announcer in the Cradle 2 the Grave.

In 2009, Klebba played the role of “Count Le Petite” in All’s Faire in Love, a romantic comedy set at a Renaissance fair. He has also been in low budget horror/comedy films Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds & Feast III: The Happy Finish as “Thunder.”

He has numerous stunt credits as well including Hancock, Zombieland, Bedtime Stories, Evan Almighty, Meet the Spartans, Epic Movie, and Van Helsing.

Wearing motion capture pajamas, “Marty” stood in for the Dimorphodon who grapples with Chris Pratt in Jurassic World.

Klebba has a form of dwarfism called acromicric dysplasia; he is 4′ 6″ tall.    He is the world’s fastest little person. Has held the record since 1994. Runs the 100M in 13.84. The 40 in 6.0 flat.  Was a member of the Los Angeles Breakers, a professional Basketball and Soccer team comprised of Little People. They are the World’s #2 top ranking Little Person Basketball and #4 ranked Soccer team.

Martin Klebba is 48 today.
