Mike Bacigalupo, chief operating officer at The State Theater, Bay City, Michigan has confirmed that Michigan native Jeff Daniels has been booked for a Friday, August 11 show. Bacigalupo said he received a call from Daniel’s agent on Tuesday, Feb. 14, saying the “Dumb and Dumber” and “Newsroom” star wanted to play a show in Bay City.
This summer Daniel’s bringing his guitar – as he did in August 2014–and his son’s band, The Ben Daniels Band, with him to Bay City for his first show at The State Theatre in three years. That concert three years ago featured Daniels strumming an acoustic set and then later teaming up with his son’s band on original songs and some covers
This August concert marks Daniel’s fifth time performing in Bay City.
When Daniels last played Bay City, he was the first act to break in the State’s brand new, $200,000 sound system. “It’s definitely broken in now,” Bacigalupo said. “And we can’t wait to have (Daniels) back on our stage.”
Tickets, which range from $35 to $40, are on sale now at www.statetheatrebaycity.com
