Friday night, February 3, 2017, the Cinetopia International Film Festival presents direct from Sundance the Midwest premiere of a selection from the 2017 Sundance Film Festival!
Wilson (played by Woody Harrelson) , a lonely, neurotic, and hilariously honest middle-aged, misanthropic dog lover who reunites with his estranged wife (Laura Dern) and gets a shot at happiness. When he learns he has a teenage daughter he’s never met, in his uniquely outrageous and slightly twisted way, Wilson sets out to connect with her in what could be his last chance at having a family.
This movie has a couple of cool Detroit connections. It co-stars actress Judy Greer, the pride of Livonia’s Churchill High, as Wilson’s dog walker. And its producer, Eastpointe-born Mary Jane Skalski (“The Station Agent,” “The Visitor”), who recently was a guest teacher here as the 2016 holder of Wayne State University’s Bob Allison (Allesee) Endowed Chair in Media.
This selection starts at 8:00PM at the Michigan Theater, Ann Arbor
